CHANGING DIRECTIONS: “TURN TO, TURN AGAINST, TURN AWAY, TURN BACK” — JUST PIVOT

Faith is not the enemy of being agile! On the contrary, our faith helps us through these challenges and allows us to discover alternate ways to arrive at our intended destination. The trick for our faith journeys is not to be afraid and to trust that God will help us arrive at the destination of His choosing. Until then, we must remain flexible, adaptive, nimble, and able to pivot and change our minds to discern God’s will, not our own. When faced with new knowledge or experiences that challenge your assumptions and previous ways of thinking and doing, let your faith guide you to two truths: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27).

SPIRITUAL BALANCE AND THE SUPPRESSION OF FIERY LANGUAGE

Regardless of what, why, or how, most of us have at some point in our lives regretted what we have said. So, if you are feeling stressed, and your language is becoming fiery or toxic, take some personal time to yourself. For increased spiritual balance, make sure to pray, read scripture, relax, take a walk, take a bath, listen to music, do whatever may help you return to a healthy physical and mental balance.

THE ABILITY TO SEE WHAT IS UNSEEN

Sometimes things happen when you think you are in control, only to find out later that you are not. God helps us to see the path He has made for us, even if we don’t perceive it at first.

THE DARKNESS DID NOT OVERCOME THE LIGHT

The world can seem pretty dark and gloomy, but darkness will not win, and has already lost! Throughout this week at work or home, remember that you too can have the light (John 8:12), and be a child of the light (John 12:36) to the world.
